3.) Chairman’s notes and
comments
George Brown discussed the positive things happening with gaming with the
Speaker of the House, President of the Senate and Governor all coming out in
favor of gaming.

4.) Old Business
a. .Tim Kirby was elected TOBA
breeder of the year.

b. Board members were asked to
make a list of possible speakers for our annual meeting and present them at the
next meeting.

c. Contracts were signed for
Bill Robbins and Arlene Brown for the ensuing year. One copy kept by Harland and one for Arlene
Brown’s records...
5) New
Business
a. Harland Robbins bought
T-shirts at personal expense for the board members with the MTBA logo. The cost is about $15 each. He suggested buying them as gifts for the
membership and also to sell or raffle at Equine Affair. Motion made to discuss
this at the next meeting after everyone has a chance to look at the samples.

b. Harland needs stakes
presenters to volunteer. The win photos
to be sent to the winner’s hometown newspapers.
c. Members asked to make
suggestions for meeting locations. Lee
Loebelenz will find a place for the next meeting.
d. George Brown announced that
from here on no sixth place money will
be awarded in the MTBA stakes races. It
will now go toward the jockey’s insurance.
Up until now Suffolk has been paying it.
e. A brief discussion of
breeding requirements, paper trails, mare residency etc. took place. We have been wrestling with this issue for a
long time. A motion is made to set up a
special meeting for the purpose of drafting requirements.
